“La Mini en Mai”, a funny name for a race that takes place in September. Postponed due to the health crisis, the weather conditions were those you would rather expect in spring. After the start in the bay of Quiberon, the race continued towards the northwest, circumnavigating the ile de Groix, crossing the tricky passage of Raz de Sein, then descending to the Rochebonne plateau, before crossing the bridge of the Ile de Ré by night. The way back to La Trinité-sur-Mer were marked by a mix of sustained westerly winds and dead calms . All in all, those were 4 intensive days of sailing with all the up and downs you might expect from a such a race. And most importantly 500 nm in the pocket.:)
